{"id":185,"date":"2019-08-22T16:40:39","date_gmt":"2019-08-22T16:40:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alanurquhart.com\/websites\/alldura\/?page_id=185"},"modified":"2026-02-25T23:41:03","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T23:41:03","slug":"maintenance","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/alanurquhart.com\/websites\/alldura\/maintenance\/","title":{"rendered":"Post Inspection, Cleaning and Maintenance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Post Inspection, Cleaning&nbsp;and&nbsp;Maintenance&nbsp;Procedures<\/h2> <p>The following inspection and cleaning\/maintenance procedures are required as part of the terms and conditions to maintain the AllDura Limited Warranty coverage for surface treated\/coated coils.<\/p> <ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Immediately after the unit is installed, the surface treated\/coated coil should be inspected for any damage incurred in shipping\/handling or installation. Any damages found should be brought to the immediate attention of AllDura. At such time the coating will be repaired and cost will be billed to customer. Failure to notify AllDura and have damaged coil surface treatment\/coating repaired will result in the warranty being voided.<\/li> <li>All surface treated\/coated coils should be inspected monthly and if necessary, cleaned to ensure maximum efficiency of the coil and the surface treatment\/coating.<\/li> <li>All Post Inspection, Cleaning\/Maintenance Required\/Recommended procedures should be adhered to for optimal results for surface treated\/coated coils.<\/li> <li>Any defects, damage, corrosion or deterioration found on surface treated\/coated coils during inspection or cleaning should be immediately reported to AllDura.<\/li> <li>Maintain records of inspections and cleaning\/maintenance using AllDura Coil Fin-Pack Treatment Quarterly Post Cleaning Maintenance Form (www.AllDura.com). Fill out form completely including Serial number and warranty number.<\/li>\n<\/ol> <p>The frequency requirements of the cleaning process will vary depending on the conditions present at the installation site. At a minimum AllDura requires cleaning of coils every three months (90 days) commencing immediately after installation for inland exposures or less harsh environments. For salt-laden air coastal exposure, harsh corrosive environments, and\/or if you find a head pressure increase has occurred, AllDura recommends cleaning every thirty (30) days. AllDura recommends a monthly inspection of surface treated coils. The findings thru these inspections will help you determine the cleaning schedule required to maintain maximum peak efficiency\/performance of the coil and the Surface Treatment\/Coating resulting in extension of life and energy efficiency for the unit.<\/p> <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Post Cleaning Coil Maintenance Protocal<\/h2> <p>The following cleaning procedures are Required\/Recommended as part of the routine maintenance for MicroGuard AD-35 Surface Treated\/Coated Coils. Documented routine cleaning of MicroGuard AD-35 Surface Treated\/Coated coils is required to maintain Limited Warranty coverage under the AllDura terms and Conditions of Sale. Proper periodic post cleaning of the coils will improve general operating efficiencies of your HVAC\/R unit, as well as flushing corrosive causing contaminants from the surface.<\/p> <p><strong>Warning:<\/strong> Prior to cleaning the unit, turn the power off and use a good Lockout\/Tag out procedure, at a minimum and remove any panels or doors to gain access to the coil.<\/p> <p><strong>Monthly Clean Water Rinse:<\/strong> AllDura recommends a monthly clean water rinse be included with your monthly inspection as part of your preventative maintenance program. Thoroughly rinsing your coils and fan blades monthly will keep them cleaner and will help to reduce salt residue build up. For proper post cleaning, use a non-acid high foaming cleaner. We suggest Adsil MicroKleen PLC-1 pre-diluted one (1) part cleaner to twenty (20) parts water. Using a pump-up garden type sprayer or like device, flooding the surface with sufficient diluted cleaner uniformly across surface of coils thoroughly, with no areas missed. Allow the cleaner to \u201cwork\u201d for 3 \u2013 5 minutes, and then rinse away the cleaner residue thoroughly, flooding with liberal quantities of clean water. Repeat if necessary. Re-assemble doors and panels. Remove lockout\/tag out and repower unit. AllDura recommends using Salt-Away corrosion control salt removing treatment for removal of this residue.
